As human rights advocates collaborating with the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, we utilize our consultant status to aid organizations in creating educational programs focused on human rights. Additionally, we provide valuable policy advisement to support our partners in advancing their mission.

Our commitment to promoting positive peace drives us to be proactive in our efforts, working tirelessly to make a difference in the world. By fostering collaboration and leveraging our expertise, we aim to create a lasting impact on communities and contribute to a more harmonious global society.

Projects Seeking Funding in Media Literacy and Digital Diplomacy

  1. Media Literacy Initiative:
ARAC seeks funding for a comprehensive media literacy initiative to educate individuals on discerning credible information sources in the digital age. This project will involve developing online courses, workshops, and educational resources on media literacy to equip individuals with the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate the vast amount of information available online. By promoting media literacy, we aim to empower individuals to make informed decisions, combat misinformation, and contribute to a more informed society.

  2. Digital Diplomacy Platform:
Another project we are seeking funding for is the establishment of a digital diplomacy platform that serves as a hub for promoting international dialogue, understanding, and cooperation. This platform will leverage technology to facilitate cross-cultural communication, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas between individuals, organizations, and governments worldwide. Through this initiative, we aspire to foster digital diplomacy efforts that transcend borders, promote mutual respect, and address global challenges through collective action.

DR Congo World Food Programme (WFP) Support

ARAC International Inc. New Program Initiative

ARAC International Inc. has initiated a new program in response to the recent risk assessment conducted in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. Key takeaways:

Worsening Hunger Crisis: Triggered by violence and displacement, nearly a million people have been uprooted since the start of the year, exacerbating food shortages and inflating market prices out of many people's reach. A significant portion of DRC's population is facing crisis-level hunger or worse.

Rapidly Growing Humanitarian Needs: With the displacement crisis deepening, the UN World Food Programme (WFP) has expanded its emergency operations significantly. However, a lack of sufficient humanitarian funding is straining the ability to provide necessary assistance.

Critical Funding Shortages: Despite tripling the reach of its food assistance, the WFP faces a significant shortfall, requiring at least $425 million for the next six months to support those most in need in the violence-stricken eastern provinces.

Vulnerable Populations: Women and girls in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps are at heightened risk of sexual violence, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. Efforts to empower women and provide them with livelihood opportunities are needed to address gender-based violence.

Escalated Response Requirements: To address the multitude of needs across the DRC, including malnourishment and lack of access to essential services, the WFP has outlined a comprehensive operational plan necessitating substantial funding.
